We should probably start telling our story.
During his years working in the fashion industry, Paulo Silva, the founder of Portugal Shoes, acquired a huge know-how and a large network of shoe manufacturers in Portugal.
Among this time, he understood that many international shoe brands were facing big challenges. Placing the production at the right factories, that could give attention to the brands requirements and needs was a very difficult task.

In 1999, Paulo Silva created Portugal Shoes, a business from Absolutarget group. The company’s headquarters are based in Felgueiras, a small town near Porto in the north of Portugal, worldwide recognized as the heart of top-quality shoemaking. There, we have been working on the “behind the scenes” for many well-known international fashion brands for more than 20 years.
Initially, the main goal of Paulo Silva was to help and support footwear fashion brands placing their productions in Portugal factories. However, quickly he understood that Portugal Shoes, would be much more than a manufacturer assistant.
Since day one Portugal Shoes team is committed to look for what each fashion brand need and expect with high-quality standards giving attention to every detail. At Portugal Shoes we know that each brand we work with has its own story and people, and we are the right partner to help them turn their ideas into reality.

How can I work with you?
▼To begin working with us, you just need to contact us, sending your request about the project through this form or email. You send us your tech packs as well as the quantities per style color, price targets and deadline of the collection. Then, our commercial department will analyze the project to understand your vision, what the brand is looking for and how we can fulfill all your needs.
How can I do a tech pack and submit it for you?
▼A Tech pack is a framework for sharing your ideas in a structured way. Tech packs are illustrated designs and specifications of your shoe design. A tech pack is often required to obtain a quote from a manufacturer or agency, and to ensure that people understand how to make your design and its specifications.
You can submit your designs, tech packs, sketches or image references to us via our contact form. Alternatively, you can also email us at info@portugalshoes.com
Note: If you don’t have a tech pack, you can always send us physical samples from similar styles for what you want to produce.
What are your minimum order quantities?
▼Our MOQ’s are usually 300 pairs per style/100 pairs per color.
What is your production lead times?
▼Usually, the project timeline is 5-6 months (Development and Sampling process: 6-10 weeks; Production: 8-14 weeks).
What types of materials are you able to source?
▼We can source all type of materials for shoe development, sustainable and vegan materials included, for examples: apple leather, piñatex, cactus leather, grape leather, etc. See here some of the innovative options.
How do you take care of the packaging?
▼We can make any customized packaging based on the customer requirements, if you send us color, size, logo, materials, etc.
Do you do the quality control?
▼Yes! We have an internal team dedicated to the quality control of all the stages of the process. Every material is inspected before and after any procedure. Our quality controller team will measure, check flaws, test quality, functionality, comfort, durability, and any other important detail for you.
How do you take care of transport/delivery of the collection?
▼We work with several transport companies with land, air, and sea shipments, in order to send the collection to any destination in the world. For each place we have references to provide you the best solutions.
